La Sindicatura de Comptes recibe el Premio FIASEP a las buenas prácticas por sus auditorías de ciberseguridad

La Unidad de Auditoría de Sistemas de Información (UASI) de la Sindicatura de Comptes de la Comunitat Valenciana ha sido la ganadora del Premio 2020 a las Buenas Prácticas en Gestión, Auditoría y Transparencia en el Sector Público, que otorga la Fundación FIASEP para la formación e investigación en auditoría del sector público.
Este premio, que este año celebra su VIII edición, reconoce a instituciones o entidades del sector público del Estado español que se distinguen por haber efectuado actuaciones que contribuyen al fomento de las buenas prácticas en auditoría y en la transparencia del sector público. Un reconocimiento que, en el caso de la UASI, destaca, entre otros múltiples trabajos, el papel de esta unidad en el fomento de la ciberseguridad en los ayuntamientos a través de las auditorías que lleva años realizando. Un trabajo que resulta especialmente relevante en un momento en que la crisis sanitaria y socioeconómica mundial causada por la pandemia de COVID-19 hace que administraciones públicas y ayuntamientos sean más vulnerables ante los ciberataques y que, por lo tanto, sea más necesario que nunca mantener un sistema de protección sólido frente a estos y una ciberhigiene adecuada.

The Information Systems Audit Unit (UASI) of the “Sindicatura de Comptes de la Comunitat Valenciana” has been the winner of the 2020 Award for Good Practices in Management, Audit and Transparency in the Public Sector, awarded by the FIASEP Foundation for training and researching in public sector auditing.
This award, which this year celebrates its eighth edition, recognizes institutions or entities of the public sector of the Spanish state that are distinguished by having carried out actions that contribute to the promotion of good practices in auditing and transparency in the public sector. An acknowledgment that, in the case of the UASI, highlights, among many other works, the role of this unit in promoting cybersecurity in city councils through the audits that it has been carrying out for years. A work that is especially relevant at a time when the global health and socioeconomic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic makes public administrations and municipalities more vulnerable to cyberattacks and, therefore, it is more necessary than ever to maintain a solid protection system against these and adequate cyber hygiene.
