En un contexto rural con una pirámide poblacional envejecida y un sistema económico sustentado en el sector primario, el Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación, con la colaboración de diferentes asociaciones de agricultores y ganaderos, pone en marcha el Programa Cultiva. Este programa financia estancias formativas para jóvenes dedicados al sector primario en explotaciones modelo relacionadas con la actividad que los jóvenes realizan en sus explotaciones de origen, con el objetivo de atraer y asentar en el territorio rural a jóvenes agricultores y ganaderos y favorecer la sostenibilidad de las actividades económicas del sector primario en España.

In a rural context with an ageing population and an economic system based on the primary sector, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with the collaboration of various farmers' associations, has set up the Cultiva Programme. This programme finances, by way of a subsidy, training stays for young people working in the primary sector on model farms related to the activity that the young people carry out on their farms of origin, with the aim of attracting and settling young farmers and stockbreeders in rural areas and promoting the sustainability of economic activities in the primary sector in Spain.
