El proyecto piloto Torreblanca Ilumina como herramienta sostenible frente a la pobreza energética

La Agencia Andaluza de la Energía junto con otros colectivos y bajo el paraguas del proyecto europeo Powerty, lleva a cabo un proyecto piloto para generar una comunidad energética y educativa en el barrio de Torreblanca en Sevilla, con el objetivo de facilitar a la población vulnerable el desarrollo y consumo de energías renovables, a la vez que se lucha contra la pobreza energética. Este proyecto surge ante los problemas socioeconómicos, culturales y arquitecto-estructurales que impiden a los colectivos vulnerables participar en los procesos de transición energética y a la falta de soluciones para hacer frente a la pobreza energética, que afecta especialmente a Andalucía y España. Así, se ha llevado a cabo mediante actuaciones de carácter legal, social y técnica que han permitido la instalación de placas solares de autoconsumo y la organización de diferentes actividades participativas en el barrio.

The Andalusian Energy Agency, together with other groups and under the umbrella of the European Powerty project, has carried out a pilot project to generate an energy and educational community in the Torreblanca neighbourhood in Seville, with the aim of facilitating the vulnerable population to the development and consumption of renewable energies while at the same time combating energy poverty. This project arose from the socio-economic, cultural, and architectural-structural problems that prevent vulnerable groups from participating in the energy transition processes and the lack of solutions to tackle energy poverty, which has a major impact in Andalusia and Spain. Thus, it has been carried out through legal, social and technical actions that have allowed the installation of solar panels for self-consumption and the organisation of different participatory activities in the neighbourhood.
